Summer Term
Our topic this term is Ancient Greece. This is a rich, fascinating and varied topic for us to explore, including the Greek myths of gods, heroes, monsters and mortals. We will examine the geography of Ancient Greece, before looking in detail at its history. In our English work, we'll look at the Greek gods and re-write one of the famous myths. We will also apply our learning in art to some Greek-themed designs and pottery.
Hopefully, we will have enough dry weather to get out on the field for PE. In computing, we will look at spreadsheets before moving onto programming; meanwhile, RE focuses on the life journey of Christians. In Mathematics, we will continue our work through Power Maths, and in Science we shall finish our electricity topic before moving onto understanding Evolution and Adaptation.
As it is the last term for our year 6 pupils, we aim to incorporate some memorable events to celebrate their achievements and their time here.
