Free e learning for parents and teachers on Self Harm by Virtual College
With 60% of parents reporting they feel uncomfortable discussing self-harm with their children, thousands of children could be suffering in silence.
To help parents, Virtual College have launched a free online course that provides information on how to sensitively talk to your children about self-harm and tactics for increasing mental resilience.

Child Sexual Exploitation
Child Sexual Exploitation Training
Keep them safe is a free online learning tool from Pace and Virtual College which has been accessed by more than 29,000 parents and professionals (as of March 2016). The course is aimed at parents, and provides a valuable source of information to:
- find out more about child sexual exploitation
- learn the signs and indicators of when a child might be being exploited
- understand the impact child sexual exploitation can have on families
- know what to do if you suspect a child might be at risk of this abuse.
The course takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete and can be done anonymously if wished.
