First message to year 4
Hope you are all well. I'm sorry I'm not able to teach you at the moment but, for now, we all have to make the best of it! I am missing you all but know your parents are doing the best they can to make sure you continue to learn at home.
From Monday, you should be looking at the week 2 document I have already loaded up onto this web page and the pearl tree website. I heard recently that David Walliams is reading one of his books at 11am every day. If you like his stories, you can listen to this free by going to his website. Read this article and click on the link.
I have been in to school a few times this week to look after the children of NHS staff and other key workers. Next time, when I go into school, I will be making and flying kites with the children who are there. Perhaps you could try to do this at home for fun. Here is a link to the website I will be using if you fancy a go!
You'll be pleased to know that the clay houses have dried and set brilliantly! You can all take them home when you come back to school. I will try to remember to take a photo next time I am in school and post it on this page.
My family and I are all well at the moment. I have had to shop for my mum as she is 75 and staying at home for the next 12 weeks. It feels a bit strange dropping food at her doorstep, talking to her from at least a 2 metre distance and not giving her a hug goodbye, but that's how it needs to be at the moment. Hopefully things will improve soon.
I am already busy preparing your next set of resources for week 3, which I will update on this page and pearl tree after (what would have been) your Easter holiday.
In the mean time, stay safe and healthy, and keep washing those hands!
With love and best wishes to you and your families,
