Art and D.T. (Design Technology) Curriculums
Art Curriculum Statement of intent
Subject Leader is Miss Moss.
Our Art curriculum develops creativity, engages and inspires children and equips them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. The curriculum has appropriate subject knowledge, skills and understanding for them to explore and investigate, create and evaluate artwork as set out in the National Curriculum and so will enable the children to reach and exceed their potential. It will enable pupils to create art work with a real purpose in terms when displaying and sharing the work they create and showcasing the skills and progress they have made.
D.T (Design Technology) Curriculum Statement of Intent
Subject Leader is Mr Milano.
The Design and technology curriculum allows children to exercise their creativity through designing and making. Skills are taught progressively to ensure that all children are able to learn and practice in order to develop as they move through the school. Evaluation is an integral part of the design process and allows children to adapt and improve their product, this is a key skill which they need throughout their life.
